So Fresh & So Green

Our obsessiveness doesn’t end with design. The team works extremely hard to maintain the highest quality and most interesting selection possible. Plants by their very nature are organic beings that, like us, require nurturing care to stay healthy and happy. We’re always excited about discovering new plants as well as understanding their origins and how best to care for them.

READY, STEADY…GROW

Not long after opening, we went straight into our first lockdown. With people sitting at home and lots of time to fill, we decided to create some helpful content about plant care. We are committed to sharing any knowledge we have gained through our own experiences whether that be plant-related or life in general. We started with some basic plant care 101 and plan to continue the series with more and more varied topics.

Let Love Grow

There is no one way to live and there is certainly no one way to love. With so much division in the world right now, we felt that Valentine’s Day would better serve people as a reminder that love (not just romantic, but beyond) is the greatest uniter. We may have our differences but the thing we all have in common is the desire to love and to be loved. Seems like a pretty logical place to start a peaceful conversation.

We worked with one of our favorite artists, Timo Kuilder to create the Calienna Carrier to celebrate love in all it’s beautifully varied forms. We also asked our friends and our IG followers to tell us “where love grows.” We received some pretty inspiring answers which show the universality we are all connected to.

Calienna Mixtapes

If there isn’t music playing in Calienna, it actually makes us pretty uncomfortable. We love music and our mixtapes are just another way for us to curate our interests and varied tastes. Each one has its own concept/theme and although we try to put together our favorite songs, we also push ourselves to discover new artists and new sounds. Still here?

That’s the first six months of the journey so far. We have so many ideas and dreams and can’t wait to bring them all to life to share with everyone. The next year is going to be really exciting so keep checking back in with us @calienna.
