We're proud to feature Doppelfinger, the second musical artist to perform Under The Sun. Clemens Bäre (aka Doppelfinger) is an Austrian singer/songwriter, whose introspective lyrics and timeless instrumentation provides an oasis of calm courage in what seems like an increasingly chaotic world. The honesty and depth of his songs hits the spot and shows a unique vulnerability that encourages the listener to do the same.

This Vienna-based duo blends new-gen R&B with raw, introspective lyrics shaped by their shared Turkish and Kurdish heritage. Their performance, drawn from the EP Dead Heat, moves effortlessly through moods: sensual, melancholic, and deeply personal. We’re genuinely moved to have them share their sound with us at Calienna.

Because it matters.

This is where it began. In the Southern California hardcore scene of the ’90s: small shows, tight rooms, and a shared sense of meaning. That early energy, built on passion and community, continues to shape Under The Sun and the spirit of Calienna.

Under The Sun is a love letter to the artists who move us, and to the spaces that make room for them. It’s our way of filling Calienna with the same things that fuel us: passion, curiosity, vulnerability, and the kind of creative expression that makes life feel more alive. We don’t do this for clicks or commerce. We do it because it feels right. Because beauty belongs in unexpected places. Because sharing something real is reason enough.

For Christian Cervantes, our Creative Director and co-founder, Under The Sun is also deeply personal. It’s rooted in a youth spent in the DIY music scene of 90s Southern California. A raw, unpolished world of hardcore shows, zines, record stores, and friends discovering meaning together through sound. It was honest. It was intimate. It shaped who he became.

Under The Sun is an echo of that time. A way to reclaim something lost in the scroll of the algorithm. A chance to offer back to music what music once gave to us: belonging, perspective, and the courage to create something of our own.

We built Calienna to be a vehicle for growth. This is part of ours.
