We’re proud to feature Hannah Seifert at Calienna. Hannah is a ceramic artist from Vienna who weaves tranquility and authenticity into her pieces, drawing deep inspiration from Japanese ceramic traditions. This latest special collection for Calienna is a testament to her ability to marry form with function. Notably, the duo of the plant pot and saucer stands out, representing more than just aesthetics: they're a fusion of beauty and practicality, crafted to ensure plant well-being.

It's this unique blend of expressive and minimalist design that sets Hannah apart. Every creation is a reflection of her commitment to her craft and her distinctive aesthetic vision.

What is growth for you?

Reflecting on oneself, recognizing one’s own patterns, and breaking free from them. Practicing mindfulness daily and communicating with those around you. Through mental balance, my artistic creative process unfolds.

What keeps you grounded?

Working with ceramics is one of my biggest resources and grounds me the most. “Me time” to recharge my social batteries. Anything to do with craftsmanship (repotting plants, renovating my apartment, pottery, etc.) while listening to audiobooks or podcasts. And, of course, healthy relationships.

How does nature influence your creative process?

Color schemes, shapes, and textures. A subconscious need of mine is that if one of my ceramic pieces stood in a forest, it shouldn’t disturb the woods.

What is a book that has inspired you?

“The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. It has greatly aided me in various phases of my life. Through him, I gained fundamental insights that have positively influenced my life. He inspires a mindful and conscious life.

What is your favorite plant?

Red clover (Oxalis triangularis). It’s so delicate and has a delightful way of growing. It has accompanied me for many years. I love observing it and discovering a new leaf every day.
